Building restoration, rehabilitation, and renovation have been present in my life since moving to Savannah in 2002.  Having worked for two different contractors, my work experience on buildings varied greatly. In this example you can see the renovation of a building facade. This was necessary due to structural repairs that needed to be done to the brickwork, which left obvious patches and difference in material color.  Once structurally sound, the brick pillars were painted white and the ceiling a classic "haint blue".
